Cabbage Rufus A medium-early variety that produces high quality, compact heads weighing 1.3 to 2 kg, and do nit break. Consists of purple leaves with a waxy coating. Recommended for making into preserves, to be eaten after harvest ans short term storage Practical advice: You can plant cabbages in any season, depending on the varieties. We sow them in a nursery, very light. We generally practice transplanting, in a pot or in a nursery when the plants have two or three leaves. Installation in the ground will be done every 60 cm, when the plants are strong enough. For spring varieties, sow between mid-August and the end of September, transplant then plant in the fall for a harvest from April to June. For summer and autumn varieties, sowing between February-March (under a frame) and June, transplanting then installation between May and August for a harvest 4 to 6 months later.
