Usage and Benefits
Plant Wormwood in early spring after the last frost in full sun and well drained soil. Sow seeds on the soil surface or just beneath and water gently to keep soil slightly moist until germination. Once established water sparingly as Wormwood prefers dry conditions. Plants grow up to two to four feet tall and can be pruned to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Use leaves fresh or dried for herbal preparations or as a natural garden repellent. Ideal for borders herb gardens and companion planting to deter pests. Dry harvested leaves in a cool place and store in airtight containers.
