Globe Thistle, scientifically known as Echinops, is a striking perennial that brings a touch of architectural beauty to gardens. Known for its unique, spherical flower heads in shades of blue or purple, Globe Thistle stands out with its spiky, globe-like blooms perched atop tall, sturdy stems. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this hardy plant is drought-tolerant and easy to care for, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens. Blooming from mid-summer to early fall, Globe Thistle not only adds visual interest with its unusual form but also attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Its silvery-green foliage provides a lovely contrast to its vibrant flowers, making it a perfect addition to borders, garden beds, and wildflower meadows.
