Red Hot Poker, also known as Tritoma, is a perennial plant, which grows 80 to 100 centimetres in height. This variety, which is in flower from July to September, develops eye-catching two-tone flowers that greatly resemble a flaming torch. Thanks to its high decorative value, which is partly ensured by the outstanding flowers, Red Hot Poker is highly recommended to be grown for a cut flower. It can also be cultivated in rows as well as on its own in gardens or on lawns.
Sow the seeds in pots from April to June. Plant out into the soil in July. This plant thrives in warm, sunny positions and permeable sandy soils. Each packet includes a detailed growing guide and a sow-by date. Approximately 120 seeds per packet (+/- 20%).
