The Sticky Catchfly is a perennial plant that grows 40 to 50 centimetres in height and forms fairly small tufty rosettes, which, around May, produce numerous rigid shoots covered with sticky mucus. Its flowers are an intensive pink or white; the flowers collectively make loose paniculate inflorescences. With a flowering period which lasts from May to July, Sticky Catchfly is a perfect plant for perennial beds, rockeries or for a cut flower.
Sow the seeds in a seedbed or in planter boxes from May to June (having germinated, they require pricking out). Plant out into a permanent position in 30-40cm spacings from August to September. This variety requires fairly moist soil and a sunny position.
