WATERMELON "SUGAR BABY" A thermophilic variety intended for cultivation in the fied and in greenhouse. It deveops large, round fruit covered with a thick, dark green skin. The flesh is red, aromatic and sweet. Intended to e eaten raw as a dessert, in a salad, or as an appetizer. Sowing: from mid-March to mid-May, in a pot in a seedling soil rich in compost or in a warm layer (between 20 to 30°). Transplant on a warm layer 1 m in all directions, under a frame or plastic tunnel which must be maintained until the end of June then gradually aerate. Warm and sunny exposure. Waterings. PASTEQUE "SUGAR BABY" Variété végétale thermophile a cultiver en plein champ ou dans un tunnel. Les fruits sont grands, spherique avec une peau épaisse, verte foncé. La chair est rouge, aromatique et sucrée. Pour manger cru, en dessert, en salade et en hors-d'oeuvre. Semis : de la mi-mars à la mi-mai, en godet dans un terreau de semis riche en compost ou sur couche chaude (entre 20 à 30°). Repiquez sur couche chaude à 1 m en tous sens, sous châssis ou tunnel plastique qu'il faudra maintenir jusque fin juin puis aérez progressivement. Exposition chaude et ensoleillée. Arrosages.
