Flowering Tobacco, also called the Woodland Tobacco, is a decorative annual plant that grows 140 to 150 centimeters in height. It produces glamorous inflorescences with long funnel-shaped white flowers that develop on the greenish shoots. This plant has a very pleasant fragrance, which adds yet another dimension to the ornamental value of this variety. Flowering Tobacco is mainly grown in flower beds on its own or in groupings. It is an ideal choice for covering the less appealing parts of the garden. Growing: sow the seeds under heated cover in March; the seeds require pricking out. The seeds germinate in 12 to 15 days at 20-22oC. Plant out into a permanent position in 40x60cm spacings at the end of May. The plants thrive in fertile permeable soils in sunny positions. A quarter of one gram of seeds produces around one thousand plants. Each packet contains one gram of seeds. Each packet includes a growing guide and a sow-by date. Approximately 25000 seeds (+/- 20%)
